DESCRIPTION
American Wisteria
Wisteria macrostachya 'Blue Moon'

This vigorous grower is far less rampant than non-native Wisteria but just as showy. In late May, long racemes of lavender-blue flowers appear and repeat during the summer months. Flowers are showy, fragrant and attract butterflies while providing great nesting and cover for native birds.

INTERESTING FACTS
Butterflies are active during the day.  They use their colors to attract a mate or to warn predators that they are unpleasant to eat. In contrast, moths are usually dull in color and are active at dusk or during the night.

Best grown in slightly acidic, humusy, moderately fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Full sun is needed for best flowering
