As easy to grow as it is outstanding, this shrubby selection features striking, purple black stems and foliage throughout the summer that becomes covered with clouds of tiny red and white daisies in late summer. This great late summer nectar source will attract a multitude of native butterflies!

GROWING TIPS
Aster lateriflorus grows best in full to part sun, in moist, well-drained soil. 'Lady in Black' is drought tolerant and adaptable to many soil types. Pinching is not necessary to control habit, but a June cut back to 4-6" results in a shorter plant and more flowers in autumn.
