Interesting Facts
Butterflies have "chemoreceptors" on the bottoms of their feet, which help them to smell and taste. A female butterfly can tell if a plant is suitable to lay eggs on by the chemical released after drumming her legs on the leaf surface.
GROWING TIPS
Provide a well drained soil and water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Once established, water deeply and infrequently during summer months. Prune during cool months as needed. Not as dependent on changes in relative humidity for flowering, which means that it blooms more often during the warm months. Blooms on new wood so if you must prune do it in early spring.
