Boneset was grown in medical herb gardens to treat the flu, fevers, colds, and other illnesses. Some speculate Boneset earned its name after being used to treat break bone fever in the 18th century. Other authorities attribute the plant's name to its previous contributions to the bone healing process.
Grows best with consistently moist soil.
