Calliandra californica
Baja Fairy Duster is an evergreen to semi-evergreen, woody shrub that is remarkable when it begins to bloom. Long, pink to light purple stamens are very showy. It flowers mainly in the spring and then off and on the rest of the season, depending on the rain. It is a marvelous plant for erosion control. Attracts all kinds of birds and butterflies.
