Magical Moonlight buttonbush is beautiful and beneficial. In late spring tiny, white, tubular flowers are packed into intensely fragrant flower heads attracting pollinators galore. In summer, the flower heads mature into round fruits for feasting birds. A huge source of nectar for hummingbirds, butterflies and other pollinators,  Magical Moonlight is a compact, making it suitable for smaller garden spaces. Larger than average fruits.

Native Range

Found in In swamps, around ponds and margins of streams. Sand, loam, clay, limestone; moist, poor drainage or standing water okay. Prairie swales; lake, marsh, creek & swamp margins; dry, limestone bluffs.

Buttonbush flowers attract all sorts of insects which in turn attract birds.
