Prized for its attractive blue-gray to gray-green evergreen foliage that are arrayed in a spiral form, accented with a dark tip. Drought tolerant and very low maintenance. They look spectacular planted in groups. Best in full sun with rocky soil with good drainage. They flower only sporadically but the flower stem can reach 20’ tall. The yellow flowers attract hummingbirds and are also the host plant for several skippers. The flower rosette dies after flowering but the new rosettes at the base of the plant will grow to bloom again.

GROWING TIPS

 

This is one of the largest, most cold-hardy forms of Agave you can grow. Plant in a lean, well-drained soil where it will get plenty of sun and heat.
