Clematis virginiana

Old Man's Beard is a fall-blooming clematis whose twining stems grow rapidly and twine their way over fences and trellis work. Its fast-growing habit provides the space for masses of sweet, fragrant white bloom from late August through October. Hummingbirds and native bees love it!

GROWING TIPS

Grows well in a wide range of soils from average to wet soils. This native vine will thrive and bloom in the shaded landscape just as well as one in full sun. Blooms on this years growth which means it can be pruned back to 12"
