The Bordered Patch is a gorgeous butterfly and no two are alike. The dark brown wings are decorated with orange, cream and white spots and bands. No other butterfly has such variable markings. The males and females are similar but the females are slightly larger.
Deadhead blooms regularly and leave spent flowers on the ground so birds can eat the seeds. Cut back at the end of winter.
