Boltonia asteroides 'Nana'

This native American perennial will give you a nice pop of color in late summer and fall.  They can tolerate hot, humid summers and are rarely bothered by pests or disease. It's tenacious roots spread even in poor, dry soils. ‘Nana’ is a compact selection reaching just 2’ tall. Try planting this butterfly magnate with blue asters.

White Doll's Daisy is found from the Upper Midwest and Plains States south to Texas.

Butterflies and other insects have their skeleton on the outside of their body. This protective shell is called an exoskeleton and it conserves water in the insect body while helping to keep it safe from injury.

GROWING TIPS

Grow it in full sun and well-drained, humus-rich soil. Planted in shade it tends to get floppy and require staking. No need to stake this plant in full sun to keep it upright. Dead heading the flowers won't be nessisary because of the natural late season bloom time.
