Cornus alternifolia
This small, distinctively branched tree boasts deep green, whorled leaves that provide a backdrop for big, flattened clusters of fragrant white flowers that bloom from May to June. Native insects love the bloom and native birds prize the profuse fruit sitting among the radiant fall foliage color.
