DESCRIPTION
Cardinal Flower
Lobelia cardinalis 'Fried Green Tomatoes'

A chance seedling from Lobelia cardinalis, this selection shows increased vigor, strikingly deeper, darker foliage color and even more butterfly and hummingbird attracting power! June - August brilliant red flower spikes make this a summer must in any garden with its color and easy care nature. Since most insects find it difficult to navigate the long tubular flowers, Cardinal Flower depends on hummingbirds, which feed on the nectar, for pollination.
