Interesting Facts

This species of Philadelphus was named after Meriwether Lewis who found it in 1806 during his famous Lewis & Clark expedition to the northwest. Native Americans used the exceedingly hard wood of this plant for combs, bows, arrows and fishing spears

GROWING TIPS

Mock Orange prefers full sun to part shade and is drought tolerant. In very dry areas, a little added watering helps the plant to produce more flowers.
